Strength & Conditioning

This qualification goes well-beyond what would ordinarily be offered by a Personal Trainer. We are qualified to Level 4 Standard – to offer athletes more advanced strategies and techniques for them to reach their optimal performance. At the centre of our programming, is the core-principle of reducing the risk of injury through evidence-based exercise selection. We can offer athletes multicomponent programmes to assist them peak in strength, endurance, power and/or speed at the right time. Additionally, by detecting and correcting imbalances before and during strength and conditioning programmes, we can help them to train effectively and minimise the risks of injury.

We have the skillset to develop programmes for sports people in a range of disciplines that enhance:

  • Plyometrics and Jumping Ability

Our programmes are designed to maximise these physical attributes, but also place injury prevention at the centre of the framework. From a team perspective, it has been shown in multiple academic studies that those who keep a higher percentage of their players on the court or field and off the injured list in a season, win more frequently than those that do not. It might logically be argued that training to avoid injury should be as much of a priority as training to maximise performance.
